Cách tăng vốn từ vựng trong IELTS Writing Task 1

Các cụm hay gặp đó là "the proportion of…" hoặc "the percentage of…". tuy vậy, bạn có thể sử dụng các từ mới lột tả phân số qua ví dụ dưới đây:

A large number of people	50% half
Over a quarter of people	45% more than two fifths.
A small minority	40% two-fifths.
A significant number of people	35% more than a third
Less than a fifth	30% less than a third
80% four-fifths	25% a quarter

Nếu số phần trăm không có tổng số lượng chuẩn xác, bạn có thể dùng những cách sau để mô tả mà vẫn đảm bảo độ chuẩn xác với sơ đồ gốc:

77% just over three quarters.

70% approximately three quarters.

49% just under a half.

32% almost a third.

Percentage proportion / number / amount / majority /minority.

75%-85% a very large majority.

65%-75% a significant proportion.

10%-15% a minority.

5% a very small number.

3 phương pháp bổ ích bạn có thể sử dụng khi miêu tả phần trăm:

- English speakers usually put the percentage at the start of the sentence.

- Use while, whereas or compared to (after a comma) to add a comparison.

- Use "the figure for" to add another comparison in the next sentence.
